Principal Harp, MEtropolitan Opera
After one year as Principal Harp with the Sarasota Orchestra, Hannah Cope Johnson is the new Principal Harpist at the Metropolitan Opera.

CLASSICALLY TRAINED
Hannah is Principal Harp of the Metropolitan Opera. She was previously Principal Harp of the Sarasota Orchestra. She completed her graduate studies at New England Conservatory in 2022. She has won harp competitions including the American Harp Society Competition, the Grandjany Memorial Competition, and the Lyon & Healy Awards. In 2022 she took second prize at the International Godefroid Competition in Belgium.
